Here is the Scientists, mathematicians and physicists who have given their Valuable and remarkable contribution for electrical engineering which we have as on today.
.) William Gilbert (1544 to 1603):- He was English Physician and founder of Magnetism. He is famous for his book “De Magnete.”
.) Charles A. Coulomb (1734 to 1806):- He is well known for “Coulomb’s Law” and unit of charge is “Coulomb” named after him was the French physicist.
.) James Watt (1736 to 1819):- He was English mechanical engineer and inventor of steam engine. Unit of Power is “Watt” named on him.
.) Alessandro Volta (1745 to 1827):- He is well known for invention of “Battery”. Voltage is name given to electrical quantity because of Alessandro Volta the Italian physicist.
.) Hans Christian Oersted (1777 to 1851):- He has discovered that electric field is created by electric currents. He was Danish physicist and unit of magnetic field strength “Oersted” in CGS is named after him.
.) André-Marie Ampère (1775 to 1836):- The name of electric current “Ampere” named after him. He was French physicist and Mathematician.
.) Georg Simon Ohm (1789 to 1854):- He was German physicist and Mathematician started his research with electrochemical cell. At last he has found that when we apply Voltage across conductor, current flow from it is directly proportional to applied voltage and it also known as Ohm’s Law. Unit of Resistance ‘Ohm’ is also named after him.
.) Michael Faraday (1791 to 1867):- He was English Scientist, chemist and physicist. Because of him today we have the law of Electromagnetic induction based on which Electrical transformer and electrical generator works. Unit of capacitance is named after him.
.) Joseph Henry (1797 to 1878):- He was the American Scientist because of him we have phenomena of Self-induction. Unit of Inductance is named on him.
.) Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777 to 1855):- He was German mathematician and physical Scientist who have contributed in several fields.
.) Wilhelm Eduard Weber (1804 to 1891):- German physicist who have discovered measurement of magnetic field of earth. Unit of magnetic flux ‘Weber’ named after him. Unit of magnetic field strength is ‘Gauss’.
.) James Clerk Maxwell (1831 to 1879):- He was the Scottish physicist and mathematician who have discovered electromagnetic theory of light and the laws of dynamics. Maxwell’s equations are used for modern theory of electromagnetic.
.) Ernst Werner Siemens (1816 to 1892):- German Engineer who have invented Electrical machine.
.) Wilhelm Siemens (1823 to 1883):- German Engineer who have invented Electrical machine.
.) Heinrich Rudolph Hertz (1857 to 1894):- German physicist who has described nature of electromagnetic waves and Unit of frequency ‘Hertz’ is named after him.
.) Nikola Tesla (1856 to 1943):- Serbian-American physicist who has invented poly phase electrical power system, Unit of magnetic flux density ‘Tesla’ is named after him.
Width of maximum right of way permitted as per forest conservation act ‘1980 and its subsequent amendment dated 25 th October, 1992, are as per Table 1. Researches are being carried out for further optimizing the Right of Way. Guidelines of forest environmental rules shall be followed to avoid excessive tree cutting i.e. all the trees should be cut from root level in the 3 m corridor below each line conductor / earth wires. In the balance corridor, trees branches are only to be lopped to attain the specified clearance as per Table 1.
